Shanghai Express

Shanghai Express is a project of French restaurateur Philippe Bloch. The dinning experience he takes the guest on a culinary trip which begins in china and continues on via Saigon. Come on board! It's dinning area resembles a train. Take the journey as you are treated to dishes that incorporate the aromas and flavours of the Orient brought to life with spices and herbs from the region.

Pictures of the famous oriental actress Anan May Wong decorate the walls as well as the menu card of the Shanghai Express.

Our chefs bring their energy and experience from Asia directly to our dishes. The food served has it's origins from a number of Asian countries from China through to Vietnam and Thailand but with a modern twist. The dishes are served "tapa" style to bring social informality to the dinning experience.

Its outdoor terrace also makes a great dinning experience.
